First, thanks to Eugenio.... as always his explanation was a great help! There is a reason Eugenio is a Master Sargent and I am a private.
I removed the gascolator and fuel valve as per his instructions (thanks again). Like so many items it is clear when you get it apart, but when it is in the aircraft it is difficult to see or understand how everything works. I took some pictures of the unit(s) out of the aircraft... it was made by LE BOZEC & GAUTIER (2/68). My RF-4D is # 4122 so I think it might be the youngest one in the US fleet. '
The valve does not move freely so I believe it needs to be lubricated. The reason I started this post was to get some ideas for anyone who has taken these units apart and made repairs. Additionally the pictures might help others when they remove their units.
