There is a reason Eugenio is a Master Sargent and I am a private. I removed the gascolator and fuel valve as per his instructions (thanks again). Like so many items it is clear when you get it apart, but when it is in the aircraft it is difficult to see or understand how everything works. I took some pictures of the unit(s) out of the aircraft... it was made by LE BOZEC & GAUTIER (2/68). My RF-4D is # 4122 so I think it might be the youngest one in the US fleet. ' The valve does not move freely so I believe it needs to be lubricated. The reason I started this post was to get some ideas for anyone who has taken these units apart and made repairs. eugenio Unregistered	Posted Saturday, October 31, 2009 @ 07:20 AM Note that spare parts for these assembly is anymore in production so be very careful. Disassemble and clean the inside to remove all debris and gums. We once found one nearly clogged from gums deposit. I'm preparing a batch of gascolator gaskets suitable for avgas and unleaded mogas. Thse will available within a couple of months and can be used on all RF's (3, 4, 5). Eugenio

I see I have been promoted to Corporal... thanks, but the time I get N7725 flying again I might get even higher. One thing just leads to another with often more questions.
