Hi friends.
I am looking for some parts for my RF5 D-KIND. Anyone can help me?
First part is the CANOPY VENT part number 516 040 (on section 8 / fuselage of the RF5 parts catalog).
Second part is... on top of the canopy there is an hole with a semispherical cowling to depressurized
the cabin in order to improve the ventilation.. well i lost this semispherical cowling.
I am waiting for parts or suggestions.
Ciao

Stefano:

I've been looking at Aircraft Spruce and Specialty part number A-2-100 snap vent for a canopy exhaust on my RF4 restoration. I have not purchased one yet but it seems similar to the original (which I also no longer have). Maybe it will work?...

Regards,

Paul J.

Hi Paul,
thank you for your suggestion anyway my friend Sandro, the co-owner of D-KIND, using a plexyglass salad bowl, made a perfect canopy vent! He's an artist!
I'm still looking for the canopy vent.

Stefano,

For what it is worth, I also came across a website that describes making a sliding vent window for a HP14 Sailplane:

www.soaridaho.com/Schreder/Construction/Canopy/slidingwindow.html

By the way, the A-2-100 snap vent from Aircraft Spruce is the model number. The part number is 05-01178 in case anyone had trouble finding it (search "airframe parts - vents" on the website). Glad you came up with the artistic solution for that vent...

Regards,

Paul
