I finally met Collin in person this weekend at my glider.

His dad lives in the area, so he stopped by to visit while vacationing.

Collin is a wealth of information and we talked about plenty of good ideas and things
about keeping our great Fourniers flying.

He apparently knows the location, condition and owner of every Fournier in the US.

The ratio valve rocker suggestion was interesting and something I'd like to upgrade as it
apparently gives a bit more lift to the valves allowing the engine to breath better and
a bit more power.

I also plan on buying a Culver Prop 53x32 as it is somewhat variable scimitarish pitch through its flexing
under load and gets a bit more top end speed without losing the good climb performance.

I enjoyed the visit and am looking forward to more as we put together a West Coast US Fournier Flyin.

We just need to wait for a few projects to finish (Bob and Dan) so they can come too.

Hello All,

I had a great trip using my friends Cessna 170 flew almost 2000 miles. I also meet with other RF4D owners Sammy Mason and his parents, Mira Slovak and Charlie Webber.

OK Collin,
the 170 is a nice vintage aircraft- and four seats. So did you manage to cram the whole family into it?

The RF 5b is otherwise a nice touring aircraft- but of course you know that after your TransAm tour. Don´t tell me the 5 was grounded with bananometer problems......

Nice to hear you Guys keep in touch, love to hear more about the trip. Maybe you took some pictures?

May the 4´s be with you/ Jörgen

Hi Jörgen,

The RF5B is doing fine. The reason for taking the C-170 is the room. The plan was to take Sophie and Margo, but Margo got sick. Also the C-170 climbs better and has more range. The C-170 can easily fly 4.5 hours.

Here are a few pictures.
