Collin and I are planning to fly up to the Arlington (Washington) Fly-in Saturday, July 12. We're going up in the morning and coming home late afternoon. I haven't been keeping up with who's around and who's flying, but maybe the other Fourniers (and Fournier enthusiasts) in the Portland/Seattle area can come up too. This is all dependent on the weather -- which can be undependable this time of year. I'll post a go/no go on Friday night (if we know).

Collin and I flew up to the Arlington EAA Fly-in on Saturday morning. It was my first real cross-country flight in the 4 and it was nice to fly together. We were the only motorgliders there and quite a few people came by to chat about them.

At the end of the day, N2188 won the Grand Champion award in the Contemporary category, so it was a pretty good day overall. I hope more Fournier's can be there next year.

Congratulations Dann,
so nice to see you flying beautiful, beautiful N2188- you really earned that Grand Champion award! I'm curious to hear more about your modifications and how they work, the carb, the starter, the mufflers etc. It doesn't look like you had much convective activity, otherwise your 4 with electric starter and all should be a blast to try soaring in.

I was about to fly up to meet James Hallam again (XSTs previous owner from the UK) today but oddly enough I had a flat tyre- again! I'll post more on that on appropriate threads, also got some impressions from the wheelbolts issue.

May the 4s be with you/ Jörgen
