At last, after a dreadful fifteen months, including being let down by my body, a landlord, my wife's health and three theiving traitors I had thought were friends, I am almost back to normal.
Here's the proof:

My aerobatics are still rusty, I'm keeping to simple manoeuvres and I'm much higher than previously, but it's slowly coming back.
May you all have a great summer of Fournication.
Yours, Bob

"-and after Bob Skywalker had escaped from the iceplanet of Hoth, shot down three invisible Death Stars in aerial combat and landed back at the rebel base he finally sat down and edited the film out of his GoPro bonnetcam!"
Excellent film, thanks for posting and looking forward to see some more aerobatic clips. Sofi wondered if it's not terribly noisy for uncle Bob flying outdoors?
May the 4's be with you/ Jörgen

Nice video Bob and good to read that you're getting back to it. You've been quiet on this forum for a while and what with the back problems you've written about and a red and white sunburst RF4 having recently been advertised for sale here in the UK I wondered if maybe you'd 'retired'. Good that you have not.
For a moment in the video, about 1:15 in, I thought you'd aerobatted into the cloud base but that was just the camera autofocus dropping the ball.
They're elegant little machines for sure.

Thanks very much for the support guys, it's been a long and difficult fifteen months, but things are finally coming good again.
And yes, Sofi, it is noisy in the open air, especially when trying to talk on the radio, but it is also a nice change from being under a perspex bubble. The great thing with a Fournier is that we can do either or both.
I do have some GoPro footage coming, but it will take a few weeks to get the final shots I need before editing it all into something coherent and I hope interesting.
Happy flying guys.

Good to see your back Bob.
I'm on a bit of a sabbatical myself working on multiple home multiple projects, Moving, Porsche racing/repairs, SeaDoo repairs, dying relatives and all the other distractions that take over from ones preferred activities and hobbies. The good news is all this work is keeping me fit, perhaps even losing some weight which help the climb rate ;-)
I think I also need to take care of the rubber Webber shocks that are just not suitable for the constant loading of a parked plane
for longer periods. I'll need to go the metal springs route I think.
Still a ways to go before and I can get back to the RF4D.

Hi again Ray,
I'm sorry to hear you've been having similar problems and interruptions to your life.
Like you, I've been trying to get fit and lose weight (although not yet enough to make a performance difference).
Do try to get some air time in your RF4D too. It makes such a big difference to how you can cope with all the other stuff.
Good luck.
