Hi again Guys,
I've been bolting GoPros in various places on my Fourniers with custom-made fittings, but needed to fit one temporarily to my buddy's Pietenpol, securely but without damaging its lovely finish.
I also wanted to put one under my Maule's wing.
So I had a brainwave.
All airplanes have inspection panels, right? And they're all uniform in size. So why not just bolt the GoPro on to a rigid inspection panel and swap it for a regular panel wherever you want it.
So I did. Just to be sure it was secure, I aligned the spring strip on the back of the 'pop-panel' across the airflow.
And then I put some strips of adhesive PVC tape around its edges to stop it sliding around.
Got some nice clips. Here's a snapshot:
Yours, Bob
