Good Morning,

I am having some gas struts sent here (Oregon), Is there anyone else in the US that needs some. Cost is about $95 each plus some shipping.

Picture of worn strut. Note that angle of fork is less than 90 degrees. A good strut will be more than 90 degrees at gross weight.

Good strut

With new struts, make sure you have long legs!

When I put new struts on mine, I was surprised that it was a more noticeable climb up the wing and lost some forward visibility as well.

(More important to have proper struts, though....)

BIG thank you to the Fournier community for their assistance in sourcing parts for our newly acquired RF5B.
Martin Hill put me onto Patrick Faucheron in Germany who put me onto Eugenio Lanza in Italy who organised the struts for us.
They will be fitted this week-end complete with Eugenio's recommended modification
Now awaiting local customs clearance of front and back throttle assembly kindly supplied by Alfred Krewinkel in Germany.
Hopefully be back in the air in the next couple of weeks and we are pushing to have the RF4 ready for Easter.
Thanks again guys for all your help.

New struts fitted complete with Eugenio's modification. Removed the mag today for mandatory inspection. Hopefully next week-end re-install the mag and the new throttle assembly.
Hopefully in the air VERY SOON
