Hi Folks,

I think it would be a good idea to incorporate all these histories at the end of the English translation of René's book, to show what is happening in the Fournier resurgence forty years and more after they were originally built.

So, for those of you who have not yet submitted histories of your airplanes, please can I ask you to do so in the next few weeks, so that I can copy and paste this text into a Word document ready for incorporation into the final work this summer.

And for those of you who have already posted, thank you very much, but would you please have a quick look through your post and update it where necessary.

Thank you very much everybody. I am trying to make the final 'product' as comprehensive as possible.

Yours, Bob

Hi Bob,

Do you have any guidelines/recommendations for what should be in an individual history? What level of detail would you suggest?

For US Fournier owners, I assume everyone is aware of the aircraft records available on CD from the FAA: http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/aircraft_certification/aircraft_registry/copies_aircraft_records/
What you get for $10 is a complete (scanned) record of every registration and airworthiness document ever submitted for your aircraft. Makes interesting reading if nothing else.

Hi Don,

I guess take a look at the other histories posted, and try to give something similar.

Think, 'What might be interesting to the reader?'

If you know of any records broken, historical achievements, particularly long flights undertaken, displays performed, crashes and resurrections, major rebuilds, that sort of thing, I guess.

The very fact that your airplane has survived for more than forty years is an achievement in itself, isn't it.

I have no statistics to hand, but I'll bet that a higher percentage of Fourniers survive today than Cessnas, Pipers etc.

Really, any info you can give us would be interesting Don, and thank you for submitting.

Yours, Bob
