Test flight on 21st August 2005
1400cc engine.
VH-HDO maximum weight (390 kg)
Thompson propeller 60 by 32
Take-off RPM = 2900
Static rpm = 2,700 (some vibration)
Climbing rpm @ 60 kt = 2,950
Time from start of roll to 2,000 feet = 3:56
Time from start of roll to 3,000 feet = 5:52 Oil temp 82C = 511 fpm
Max IAS @ 3,000 feet = 96 kt @ 3,450 rpm (0.815 Mach)
(7% less speed, 12% less climb)
