Hello,
I am planing on having Eugenio send a few sets of his new cowling that are a bit wider for the larger engine (1600 based). If any one would like a set let me know it will save on shipping. The new cowling still has the great Rene Fournier classic look. 350 euros

Yes please, definitely.

Sorry, my my e-mail system (CompuServe) is not working right now.
The address you have is correct, and my phone number is +44 (0) 1798 342877.
Thanks for making and shipping those cowlings so quickly.

Hi Eugenio,
I am still having trouble with compuserve, which is closing down after having been bought by AOL.
Thank you very much for my cowlings, which arrived last Thursday.
They are just what I need for my bigger engine in Australia, and I will fit the other set to my English RF4 which is always overheating, due to having non-standard, very tight cowlings.
Thanks also for the extra lower cowling. I have been thinking of making a cold air inlet (selectable by a lever) for direct intake air and maybe a little more power during aerobatics. I can use that cowling for experimentation.
Thanks as always for your help Eugenio.
Yours, Bob

Hi again Eugenio,
I now have your cowlings here in Austrlia, and I am about to start work on them.
When Bob Brock talks about his fuselage fibreglass, he says: 'remove the amine blush (the shiny surface of the fiberglass)... it comes off with some ammonia/water and 3M stripping pad.. and/or sanding.'
Do I need to do this with the outer surface of your cowlings?
If not, in what way should I prepare and paint them?
Thank you.
Yours, Bob

Instructions released by Bob Brock works perfectly on all fiberglass products. I never used ammonia, I'm used to sand the surface until it looses the shiny appearance. Once you've sanded it put on one coat of primer than sand again, fill the small holes, the pinholes and all defects. After that one more light coat of primer, than paint as you like.
Remember to fit the cowling to the fuselage and do all holes and install the fasteners before the second coat of primer.
