Hi Guys,
To get a true maximum static rpm on the ground, your airplane should be facing exactly ACROSS the wind.
Head into the wind and the rpm will be artificially high, and the converse is true if you wish to apply full throttle facing downwind (but why would you?)
If your brake won’t hold you against full power (although it should, see my forthcoming post under ‘Brakes’) use a chock.

Just search for 'brake' (I should not have said 'brakes', there's only one, Doh!), but it is incorporated in this thread, about two-thirds the way down.

I beg to differ- three. One for the main wheel and one for each wing. :D
Except the wire -brake arm attachment I'm pretty happy with the brake setup on Fourniers- I've seen worse!
