Hello, TMGA’ers

You’re receiving this because you’ve either come to a previous TMGA fly-in, or have expressed an interest in attending a previous fly-in.

We are returning to Cottonwood, Arizona for our 6th TMGA national event. We had great receptivity from the city of Cottonwood and the local businesses, and it is certainly one of the best places to fly in this country. It doesn’t get any better for either flying (Sedona Red Rocks, etc.) or things to do for our non-flying partners. Early October was selected because the summer heat is gone, the winds are moderated, and the soaring conditions are generally excellent. Couple this with the outstanding camaraderie of TMGA owners and those looking to enter this wonderful segment of aviation and it’s going to be an event you don’t want to miss.

Please go to the TMGA website > Events > 2015 fly-in and sign up…whether you are a possible, a probable, or a definite; we need to start getting a handle on the number of attendees. We understand about weather and mechanical issues, etc., that’s just part of aviation…but it’s important that we know people’s intentions. Many have already signed up.

Over the next month or so we’ll be rolling out information about local sight-seeing trips, aviation trips we’ll be taking as a group, a featured speaker, etc. We’ve again gotten good rates at the Quality Inn of Cottonwood, and they are in the process of completing a major upgrade of the property. It’s very close to the airport, and their conference room is a real asset to us.

If you are a current TMG owner, you’ll have a wonderful time. If you’re looking at the fleet of models to see what might serve you best, it should be on our flight line. We have had previously excellent representation from the major TMG model distributors at our past events, and I trust 2015 will be the same. We’ve also been successful in getting rides for virtually everyone looking at purchasing either a new or “pre-owned” TMG.

Please pass this information on to your flying friends. Everyone is welcome and we frequently have one or more fixed wing ships show up.

Again, please do the Sign-Up thing ASAP.

Finally, if you have any thoughts or suggestions for this event, please contact me at: richard.pearl@touringmotorgliders.org

Regards,

Richard Pearl
