Fellow RFers I haven't seen this posted anywhere so you might be interested to follow Wlli Thaller from Austria to - he said Nepal. Well he got there in very short order and now declares he is headed for Australia! I have no idea where or what he is going to do next.

You can follow him (with live tracking) on http://www.motorflugschule-zellamsee.at/motorglidertonepal/ and he gives commentary in English also.

Willi is flying solo with a 60L tank in the back and thinks a 41/2 hour flight is "short". The distances he puts behind him, in a day, mostly non-stop, is unbelieveable.

I think this is an "event" to follow. Coming in the year after the great Mira's passing it is great to see someone showing us just what Rene's aircraft are capable of.
