Over the years it seems the bushing in my stick has worn a bit and has a wobble dead spot that shows up mostly in the ailerons. The looseness seems to be the 6mm bolt through the stick rather than the bushings on the aluminum casting. What is the best way to fix this? -- drill and put a bushing in the stick?, drill it all out for a larger bolt? It must be something that all Fournier's deal with eventually.

There should be steel bushings on the 6mm bolt, which have a sliding fit to the fixed bronze bushings on the aluminium casting. When the bolt is tightened, those steel bushings should be as a one piece with the stick. If the gap between those steel and bronze bushings is too big, you need to make just new steel bushings with a right tolerance, and maybe slightly broach the bronze bearings

Thanks Markku. It makes sense that the thing should turn on the bronze bushings in the casting. Mine seems to have been turning on the stick itself and gotten worn over the years. However, I am really having trouble finding a simple steel bushing 8mm O.D. x 6mm I.D. I've been scouring the internet, but no luck. Does anyone have a source for parts like this?

Thanks, Steve. I looked all through the McMaster site and did not see these. I'll report on the fix.

Stick wiggle fix worked. Needed to shorten the sleeves a bit. And since the wiggle was caused by the hole (tube) in the stick having enlarged over the years, I sharpened a bevel on the inboard ends of the sleeves to help force them into the enlarged hole and hold the stick tighter. Thanks for the help.
