Hello again Fellow Fournier enthusiasts.

I guess I was probably the first Fournier pilot to fly this year — on 1st January as usual.

And here is a spectator's view...

Then there was a pause of a few weeks while I re-covered the fuselage with Oratex (see separate thread) before flying a couple of hundred miles north for a country display near Geraldton...

As you can see, it was a bit hot, dry, windy and dusty up there

but it was a delightful weekend with great pilots and spectators, and the skies were blue.

All in all it was an unforgettable weekend, made possible by our hero René and his wonderful little aeroplane.

I look forward to seeing the 2017 flying exploits of some of our other members.

Yours, Bob

Some more 2017 Fournier flying, this time in Britain.

Let's hope the weather is a little better this summer.

Well, some South African guys have been flying their Fourniers this year, even if they don't post on here!

This photo, illustrating an excellent air test article, appeared in the May edition of SA Flyer.

Yes, I am back!!!
These are the RF4s based at Magalies Gliding Club west of Johannesburg - one of the larger gliding clubs in RSA.
They visited our home club at Springs to the east of Johannesburg the other week when we have our annual flyin with FREE breakfast for all.
We served in excess of 160 full English to a motley bunch of pilots.
I am happy to report that after a long pregnancy our beloved RF4 ZS-UEZ took to the skies on her test flight last Saturday.
News and pics to follow.

It's great to see you back John, and even better news to hear that UEZ is flying again.

We really look forward to seeing those pictures.

We cannot have too many of these wonderful old aeroplanes flying!

I hope you really enjoy it now for many years.
