Actually there is quite a difference. The UK cut tends to have more "current day experiences" with their documentaries and are usually 90 mins. The USA cut tends to be 120 mins and has a lot more historical data included. At the end of last year I had to provide copies and references for our historical research we made on the airframe and it's construction, something the UK production company didn't need!
Hopefully I'll get a copy soon to see myself.
Some may remember the recreation of the dambusters bouncing bomb using buffalo airways DC4 - this is a follow on from that documentary.
