The bolts that hold the landing gear casting to the fuselage have obviously had a lot of abuse over their lifetime. Most are bent a little -- one a lot. None look cracked, though. Is this a normal condition for these old guys? Should I just put em pack in, or try to get new replacements? (are they even available?)

You have better to change all the bolts, or at least the bent and the stretched. The problem is that it is not easy to find these bolts with the countersunk head and the partially threaded shank. One option is to use hex head bolts with the head reworked. Unfortunately you must use countersunk heads because it must stay flush with the plate to allow the spar to fit the bulkhead.

Well, unfortunately, if I can't get new ones off the shelf somewhere, the old ones are going back in. They're too complex to make -- with the little index tab in the head. I suppose one could use regular allen head bolts and remove the wing to access them if you ever needed to tighten them, but that would be a real pain.

I think it is also practical and OK to use a "standard" countersink bolt and use two plain, thin nuts on the other end tightened against each other. This eliminates the need of the anti-rotation tab on the head, while still making the assembly shake-proof.
