Thank you very much for publicising this Steve,

It was very strange to be back in that cockpit after a fourteen-year absence, and a steep re-learning curve, but incredibly satisfying nevertheless. I flew nine sectors, either in the left or the right seat, after half a dozen practice sectors the preceding week. (The eye position is optimised for the left side which is the only one with brakes too).

Highlights included:

Formation flying in a Boeing 747?

Taking a Jumbo under the Sydney Harbour Bridge

These were a couple of light-hearted moments at the end of the seven-day, 49-sector marathon.
All but this last leg was carried out as professionally as possible.

I am delighted to say that we exceeded our $7000 target by more than $1000, which was pleasing.

Now there will be a 51 week pause, but I have already applied to do it all again next year.

The following day of course I had to go up and fly some rolling circles in my RF4, just to get my head straight again.
