Not long after Brendan got his PPL (yes, with Sportair) he took his RF4D G-AZIG on a 4,000-mile round trip all the way up to Kiruna (way north of the Arctic Circle) setting or breaking more than 200 type class records along the way. His total flying time was 26 hours in a two-week period.

Again, I am sure Brendan would be happy to tell your uncle the whole story.

Yours, Bob

The other day I got an update from the great Brendan himself (callsign now 'Crazy One').

He actually set 4,132 records in 14.2 hours of flying back and forth over European national borders (observed by his flying partner, John Taylor), but he only claimed 202 -- although this still means he now holds more aviation world records than any other pilot!

Now he flies truck-top landings and crazy flying in his clipped-wing Cub, and we see him at a lot of shows.

His day of record-setting definitely merits a chapter in Evan Hill's book!

Yours, Bob
