The French touch
- Details
The vintage car is mine, the legs are not!
It is a Citroën 2CV (literally "2 horse power" - that is fiscal power, not mechanical one)
The first design (1936) is contemporary with the Bückers. The specifications were:
"The car must transport 4 passengers, consume 3 liters of gas every 100 km, be able to carry 50 kg of potatoes or a demijohn of wine, have a maximum speed of 60 KPH, can be driven by women and on the back seat carry a basket of eggs without breaking them."
Nearly 4 million Deux chevaux were produced (9 million if you count all the different sub-versions) from 1948 to 1990 and the last versions are able of highway speeds.
The legend says: this is not a car but an "art de vivre" (lifestyle) ... Not far from the Jungmann!
