As you can see, U-90 is getting close to flying again. Built by Dornier in 1940, this Jungmeister flew as HB-MKI until 1969 when it was imported to the USA. Bob Haak in Texas converted it to a 200 Lycoming and gave it a red and white paint scheme. Bob flew airshows in U-90 until an accident prompted another rebuild. He kept the same scheme, but changed the colors to yellow and white. Eventually, U-90 came up for sale in 2012 and was purchased by Tom Muller in Georgia.
Tom flew the Jungmeister for a few years before deciding that a conversion back to the Siemens would be the right thing to do. He gave Danny Rutten in Havanna, Florida the job. Danny is known for his award winning Stearman restorations. Original parts were gathered around the world and the engine was freshly overhauled by Dirke Bende. Should fly soon!
