Greetings:

First, let me say that I would never have had the courage to purchase N 7725 without the support of Collin and the entire Fournier group. I lack the knowledge and skills to do what I have started... it is a total learning experience. There is no turning back... I am committed to a complete rebuild. I will learn how to put pictures in this forum but I need Collin to show me the way as my efforts have failed so far. However, to get an idea of the mess I have created, you can see the pictures/comments at:

Thanks in advance for all your help and suggestions... there will be many more postings and questions as this project progresses and I am counting on the group to guide me.

Bob,

Check out this thread on posting pictures: http://sbeaver.com/cgi-bin/fournier/cutecast.pl?session=NCIEJymUaNB5VnLuEQmq1ayL7p&forum=18&thread=455

You will find the "Search" capability of this forum surprisingly useful. At More than 2000 posts, there aren't many subjects that have not come up at least once before

I also keep a close eye on new postings and if I see something that is not quite formatted right, I will usually correct it for you. - As in making your link appear as a clickable hyperlink or adding the pictures you almost added.

Hi Bob,

It is a shame you couldn’t get at least a few flights out of your Fournier before you embarked on this complete re-cover, engine re-build thing.

These projects always take ten times longer than you expect. Matthew’s RF4 is only now coming together. It was damaged way back in 1972; a prolonged rebuild was started in the early eighties, and we’ve been at it seriously since the Gap-Tallard CFI meet more than two years ago. Three of us are now working on it almost full-time, and there is still some way to go yet.

You might find it difficult to get new single-port 1200cc heads. Use anything else and you’ll need a new carburator and inlet mainfolds – and possibly new exhausts, and so it goes on…

You’ll find most of the info you need on this site (somewhere, not everybody is disciplined about sticking to one topic in their postings).

I wish you very good luck with your endeavours, and do keep us all informed of your progress.

As Jorgen would say, may the 4s be with you.

Yours, Bob
