One of the 22mm nuts holding the fuselage to the wing is being very difficult to remove... and it is the only connection left to remove the wings. The problem is that the 14mm stud bolt turns and I can not remove the lock nut. So I left it for a day with plenty of "mouse milk" oil on it to see if that would help. But I think the crush block mentioned in the forum (with drawings from Bob G.) is twisting on the back side of the wing spar. So the question is???? How do I get this nut off? Is there a way to access the bolt head on the rear side of the spar?? or should I try to cut the nut off?? I am going to replace the fabric on the wing so I don't mind removing fabric to access the rear nut, but I don't see how it can be done. The difficult nut is on the left side in front of the spoiler handle. Thanks for any ideas....

Hello Bob
The bolt head is inside the wing rib no.18, the rib is hollow, covered on both sides with 1,5mm plywood. The bolt is welded to a steelplate, which is then screwed to backside of the spar, this plate and screws prevents the bolt rotation and keep it on right location.
It seems that the weld has been broken, and the only way is to make openings to plywood to reach the bolt end (need to be checked anyway).
At first to reach the bolt end, make an opening just behind the spar, about 50mm above the aileron pushrod to side plywood of the rib, might be possible to do it from the front isspection hole under the wing.
If you need, I can send some drawings and fotos for help

Greetings... I got the nut off and removed the wings myself. The solution for the nut was a trick.... I used a 14mm nut threaded about half way on the end of the stud bolt and then inserted a short 14mm jam bolt into it.... held fast by two wrenches, then I keep the stud bolt from twisting while I removed the nut carefully. The "mouse milk" oil also helped. Removing the wings without help was fine.. just went slow and used a dolly I made for another glider. Collin has the pictures and I asked him to post them should anyone be interested. Or I will get the site listed. Sorry I am still having trouble posting pictures... I put the three pictures in the public side of the site so perhaps it will work.
Then I will bring the fuselage home and start work on removing the paint and original fabric.

Hi Mr Brock,
(excuse the formalty- trying to avoid confusion with the other Bob) thank you for sharing and thanks for the pictures. Good one on the removal of the bolt, that is highly interesting for all of us Fournier nuts (pun intended). Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress, itīs inspiring for us all.
Markku, did you insert new pictures in Bob (the other oneīs) post? On one of them it looks as if the spar has been sawed off- is that so or do I misinterpret the picture? Itīs as they say, a picture says more than 100 words, I didnīt understand how the bolts were fitted before.
May the 4īs be with you/ Jörgen
