Greetings:
As I put the aircraft back together I am finding some things that need repair.... the fuel drain at the bottom of the filter/bowl, does not have washer on the inside (Like an "o" ring washer) to shut off the fuel after a test sample is taken. All the other drains (Cessna, Piper, etc.) I have seen use an O ring washer, but I don't know what was there originally on the RF-4... all I had were some broken parts of washer. Will a new O ring work? Or it is some other type of washer? Also, should the screen be replaced if it appears to be in fine condition.
The shut-off is a bit hard to move so I plan to take it apart and get it working correctly... fuel lub. etc.
Thanks for any ideas...

Originally it uses an aluminium washer. No Orings or any kind of rubber gasket. If you want to use a drain with the Oring you need to do an adapter with the seat for the Oring. The drains used on the LeBozec gascolator are probably out of production. The DR400 uses the same gascolator and for the replacement they sell you an adapter and a saf-Air CAV 170 drain valve.

Thanks Eugenio.... I took it apart and think an O-ring might work. Perhaps my unit was modified at some point as it looks like a machined grove for an o-ring. Here are a few shots:

I should have taken it completely apart in the first place.

That looks similar to mine, what's the size for a new O-ring
