Greetings,

Hope you are following Collin's adventure, i.e., flying his RF-5B to Oregon from the East Coast.. he will be joining another RF-5B that came home just two weeks ago. It is actually the RF-5B that Collin's Dad owned and as I understand it, Collin flew in it as a youngster.
Anyway, I put together an album of the aircraft and trip and thought I had better post it while it is fresh.
It is only because of Collins interest in the RF's that have encouraged others in the Northwest to get involved with these neat aircraft.

Below is the link to the images... cheers...

Hi Bob and Chuck,
Congratulations on a nice looking RF 5 b and thanks for sharing your homeflying story. I´m sure you are in for lots of nice flying as it´s a good glider in addition to a nice cruiser.

As you state in your comments it´s an interesting array of instruments, particularly the G-meter smack in the middle of the pilots field of view. I wouldn´t let that tempt me to try aeros though. The 17 m RF 5 b is registered in the normal category in most countries as opposed to the 13 m span RF 5, which is cleared for limited aerobatics. Even though the folding mechanism feels quite solid there are for instance the fairing, awfully close to the ailerons which could be one reason not to risk getting yourself into a tailslide with it....

Take 5(b) just 4 fun/ Jörgen
