RF5B N99814 took to the air for the first time in two years. The flight was with a modified L1700E (1915cc), new panel including DYNIN EFIS, BECKER radio and transponder. As I am non current, Collin did the flight which lasted .5 hours. Issues: Engine cooling, propeller shifting to cruise position, transponder inoperative and limited nose-up authority. Thank you Collin for all you help and friendship.

Congratulations Chuck. Looks good and I'm sure you'll have the bugs ironed out soon. At first glance I thought you'd written that the first flight lasted 5 hours!

Collin did a great job on the engine, but there is just so much you can do with 10 gal. There is a company in Australia that builds collapsible ferry tanks. What do you think? 40 gal enough ? Just dreaming, have to fix some squawks first, and some weight!

Congrats, Chuck. With luck, we can have a Pacific Northwest Fournier get together this summer.

Congratulations. Nice to have another RF5B back in the air. The product of your skill & tenacity.
