that's an excellent article about a sister ship to the 4 that I have yet to try. Couldn't help to notice the passage:
"-I really like soaring. I like the cerebral challenge of defying gravity by using my intellect as the engine and the atmosphere as the fuel."
I also think of thermalling as beeing an intellectual effort, but in my frequent flights with themalling cranes I have often been quite annoyed by the fact that these animals with a brain the size of a walnut have the audacity to outperform me. ME!!!
But as my old father (and former language professor) said when I ventilated my frustration once: "-We humans are so preconditioned to language that we can't really fathom intellect without language...."
I still don't like it, but maybe that's it: my brilliant reasoning puts me further from what I need to do with the thermal...? I wonder what else I overthink.....
