Can any one tell me why there are two, and three piece canopies on the RF5b? My ship has a two piece, and I assumed they all were, was It an option? It doesn't look to be SN related.

Probably is the older version, or a modified version. I only saw one in Italy, all others I saw were with th two part canopy. The three part canopy is better just because you can open all the two parts indifferently, otherwise you first must open the front one then the rear one, that is locked by the front one. On the other side with the two piece canopy if you forget to lock the rear one this is kept down fron the front one while in the trhee piece system this do not happen. Every medal has his back.
