Greetings...
Before the primer coat I did a few more repairs, including a fiberglass repair where my daughters bike made a hole in the fuselage. The repairs are simple and easy to do.. .just take time. Needless to say, a wood aircraft needs clearance around metal bikes, etc. Thanks to the thread by Bob G., I drilled out the spar connection holes for a wood plug or perhaps an aluminum sleeve/ bushing. I used about a total of 1 qt. of primer and believe most of it will be sanded off before the next primer coat. I like the way it works but it really sets up FAST! Once I get the primer on correctly I will take the fuselage back to the hanger and start working on other parts. My goal is to have the fuselage and wings painted/finished at about the same time. Here are a few images to bring you up to date on the progress. Needless to say, this is a complete learning process.
