dannparks Unregistered	Posted Tuesday, December 14, 2010 @ 02:53 AM The chrome on my brake handle has flaked off in a number of places. Can these handles be found new, or aftermarket? It must be from a European automobile of the late 60's. Or would it be better to get the original re-chromed. I thought about painting it, but I thought the paint would just get scraped off with all the ratcheting. --------------------

jb92563 Unregistered	Posted Tuesday, December 14, 2010 @ 11:38 AM I think I recall someone saying that the brake handle was the parking brake from a Pueguot car. Probably cheaper to just have it rechromed or put in some of that dipping plastic stuff they use on tools etc. Since the RF4D does not really have a chrome dash, I don't think your loosing much. However if you are going to get it rechromed you might want to take all the instrument bezels and anything else you can, and have them done as well to add some flash to the cockpit. I don't know if the home chrome kits are worth the cost for just a few small items but might be worth checking out as well. http://www.caswellplating.com/kits/plugnplate.htm --------------------
