JamesB Unregistered	Posted Wednesday, February 16, 2011 @ 11:51 AM I sent my carb to SUcarbs.com in Colorado for rebuild. Chester of SUcarbs makes the point that he's not a carb rebuilding shop -- he just knows SU's & Zenith/Strombergs very well. Don't send him the carb for your Mustang. It is good to find someone who specializes in these carbs. (I'm sure there are others.) This by itself is somewhat unremarkable. What is interesting is that my carb is new enough to have had all the manual adjustments removed for automotive pollution legislation. Chester has sent my carb off to the machine shop to modify the bowl to accept the original, factory manual adjuster. This could make it much easier to apply fine adjustments over time. Will let you know how it works out.
eugenio Unregistered	Posted Wednesday, February 16, 2011 @ 03:48 PM Hi James, be adviced that there are two type of Zenith-Stromberg carburetor used by Limbach, the older 150CD with the regulation from the bowl (below the bowl) and the newer CD3 with the regulation from the top of the carburetor after removal of the dampener with an allen key (you can set the needle height). As far as I know there aren't other adjustments, just end travel screws. Eugenio

Martin Hill Unregistered	Posted Thursday, March 31, 2011 @ 08:30 AM If its for a Limbach 1700 you can find the sizes in the engine manual. Can be found on the CFI Germany site as a download. You can get all the needles, jets etc from Burlen Fuel systems in Salisbury (actually a short walk from Old Sarum). They have a website but you need to know what carb you have.
