Greetings:

Not sure where to best put this note, but since flying was so much fun, I put it under flying. Below is a link to an album we just finished covering our trip to Italy and France. So many neat people and CFI members to thank. Naturally we have more than just Fournier items, e.g., food, fun, people and places in addition to flying, Rene', Eugenio, Markku, Patrick, Michel and many others. So rather than focus on just one aspect of the CFI World Days, we included the whole trip. Just skip over the stuff that are not of interest.... but I am sure you will find some of the pictures and comments really interesting.

Again, thanks to everyone for making this such a wonderful adventure.

Excellent photo's and great comments. Glad that I was able to inject a little humour with regards the dinner event. Next time come on over and see Germany. At least there I have some good insider tips regarding food and drink.....and we can take a flip in D-KOPF. With any kind of luck you might even be able fly D_KUEP......if I ever get it finished that is.

Grüße aus Deutschland

Lutz

I also flew into Le Bourget (D-KEAA), and have posted a link to a few pictures that I took while I was there. If and when all those who promised to send me their pictures, finally make good, I will add some more to the album.
In any event, for all those who were unable to attend the event, the wx was lousy, but the company great. I was fortunate to meet René, and have him autograph a postcard for me. That I should not only live to see 89, but be a spry as he is........
All the pilots attending the CFI World days were also given a welcome folder by Michel le Blanc and his charming wife. Included in this package were some postcards of the early days, as well as a watercolour limited edition card, drawn and signed by René. Mine will be going in a frame and hung in my workshop.

I can only echo Bobs remarks, it was my first CFI fly-in, and a great pleasure meeting Fournier fans from around the world.

We are also having our annual German CFI fly-in on the 9-11 July in Speyer-Lachendorf (EDRL). Please see our website for details on how to get there. If there are any questions feel free to email me (the website invite is in German, but I will be more than happy to translate if required).

Hi Bob,

I am REALLY sorry I did not meet you both at the CFI Paris get-together.

I asked Michel if there were any Ameicans attending, and he told me that they (you) were not able to attend, having been suck in Italy with Eugenio in all that bad weather.

I hope you enjoyed what was a rather low-key version of the originally planned big get-together, albeit dampened by that weather.

I personally managed to get down to Gap on the Sunday with the dozen or so fleet of other British Fournier attendees.

I stayed the whole week, and took advantage of the presence of our RF5 to make four fairly long exploratory flights with my son James, who was incidentally cimbing in the area.

I was also able to fly a brief solo aerobatic display for the few attendees at Gap-Tallard on the Friday evening.

Most importantly, at Paris I was able in my broken French to thank Rene personally for all the pleasure his aeroplanes have given me over forty years.

It was a good time, and I'll never forget it.

I hope you, Bob get as much fun and pleasure from your fournier as I ahve from mine over the years.

Yours, Bob

Great pictures Bob, we are just having that two week long summer here in Finland , and we have been on holidays, mostly on non internet areas. I will send some more pictures next week when I'm at work and have some more time.
Nice to have you Lutz also in this forum.

Lutz:

I have tried to send you a few hundred pictures that were not in the album, but had trouble with your email address... if it is correct on your card, i.e., lutz.pritschow@gdf.de then perhaps you could send me a private email address. You can sent it to: Bob.Brock@gmail.com

Thanks

Hi Bob

Well the email is right, but it could be that there is a limit as to how many MB's it will take. You can try and send them to lpdm-at-gmx-dot-de. Maybe smaller parcels might help.

Thanks

Lutz
