Hello,
I have been rebuilding Bob's Rectimo 1200 #221. A lot of this has been on the site before, but some of the pictures may helpful the new comers.
Note: When torquing the 40hp rod. The rod bolt is a loose fit. Push the rod and rod cap to the side while torquing and check to see if lined up. if not redo.
Upgrading to a 26mm oil pump. It is recommended to open the case oil return to 9mm-10mm
Rimco Machine lined bored the case and dowel pinned the center mains
33mm 1300 intake valve will work in the 40hp head. (31mm is the std size) (20 degree back cut)
To restore original spring pressure a .030" (.75mm) shim was need for the exhaust springs. The black oil seal to help lube the exhaust stem & guide
The chambers had to be machined to get 44cc to keep the compression down to 8-1.
Rocker arm shim
Using a long drill or rod to help inline up the engine mounts.
