René’s 100th birthday celebrations were twice postponed by you-know-what, but CFI is now organising a big 101st birthday party at Blois in central France over the weekend of 10th & 11th September.

I will post more information when I know it, but let us all try to attend so Le Patron gets the support he so richly deserves before it is too late.

Seven of the British Fournier contingent diligently practised for a 101 formation (to be completed by three French pilots), but sadly low cloud and rain in northern France prevented us from actually attending the ceremony.
Nevertheless it seems that René was fit and well and a good time was had by all.
