Anyone interested in coming to a motorglider fly-in on the West Coast USA?

Around the Summer/Fall 2009 at a location with good soaring, accomodations, fuel etc to be determined.

Here is the interest I have so far.(Emails hidden to keep from ending up on some spam mailing list)

Spread the word and have people send their info + email to get on the list of interested people.
Ray.

Depending on where the bulk of the pilots are comming from I guess we will likely set a location some where central to everyone.

Right now it seems like the concentrations are Washington, and Northern California so perhaps somewhere in that region makes more sense.

Collin, I'll put you on the notification list and we can all vote on a few potential locations.

Hello,

Warner springs in the summer the density altitude may be to high for some of the two place motorgliders.

Hi Folks,

If it's not too far from a major international airport, I could try to get there (depending on airshow bookings etc).

That sounds like such a great get-together.

Yours, Bob

Hi Ray,

Maybe think of McMinnville for the meet. There are a lot of motorgliders in the Northwest.

I have about 15 interested pilots and 10 spectators that want to come....3 from HI and one from WI.

Soaring Nevada has offered to Host in Minden NV.

Still have not decided on a date and location but there is enough interest.

Bob, Being near the Reno major airport will help the spectating folks and I'm sure someone could come get you from the airport.

Thanks Ray,

Whether or not I can come will mostly depend on what display bookings I have this summer.

There don't seem to be too many shows this year (recession and all that) so I guess it's looking hopeful.

Yours, Bob

Fly-in Update:

It will be held at Minden Nevada Airport.

The people on the list are voting on a Date for the event. August 21-23 or August 28-30

We will have speakers, BBQ's, activities and what ever else we can come with to help make it a very
enjoyable weekend.

SoaringNV will be helping us out how ever they can, including the BBQ's, and they have oxygen available.

We are doing research on Hotel, Camping and other logistics.

Everyone is welcome to come join us.

I'll post further details as they become available.

Those on the emailing list get direct emails on all the info as well.

Ray
