Hi,

I saw an RF4D (or was it 3) model in the shop at Gap-Tallard during CWD last May. Someone must have bought it as it disappeared during the weekend. It was a very pretty, but quite expensive (€115 if I remember correctly) model and I would very much have liked to get it among my other plane models. Anyway, that one went and I haven't seen one anywhere since or before. I even tried to google it, but with no success. I only get loads of links to radio controlled ones.

So, does any of you know where I could get one, or preferably one with a somewhat cheaper price tag?

Hello Antti, Guys,

Sorry for the late reply. My computer's been dead for weeks. Turned it on today and it came alive again! If only it was as easy to fix as my Fournier!

I bought one of those resin Fournier models at Gap (23cm/10-inch span). There were originally two, a red one and a blue one. I got the blue one. The red one must have gone later. Mike Dentith and Matthew Hill asked the shop owner to ask the model-maker for two in Skyhawks colours, but I don't think he got a reply. The shop owner would not tell us the address or other contact details for the model maker, presumably because he did not want to lose his profit!

If I hear anything new, I will post here, but maybe one of the French guys who lives near Tallard could help?

Maybe try posting a request on the European CFI site?

Yours, Bob

A warning about Olivier Petri's beautiful 1/20th model Fourniers

Olivier Petri displayed several of his models at the Gap/Tallard meeting, including an exquisite 1/20th cut-away RF4 model, 50cm/20-inch span.

I gave him the money for his model right there in cash. He said he needed to finish the canopy and would mail it to me in a 'special' box.

I have phoned him, e-mailed and written many times since, but still have not got my model.

He repeatedly insists he has sent it, and then later admits he did not.

One of our French brothers, Jean-Paul DALEGRE, got his after many months delay, so I am still hoping, but it is nearly a year now, so I am very disappointed.

I cannot recommend anybody to buy a model from Olivier Petri, and if anybody reading this post can speak French and ask him to send me my model soon, I would be very grateful.

His phone number is: 04 92 43 89 82 (or, from outside France: +33 4 92 43 89 82)

I would be very grateful for any help anybody can give me.

Thanks.

Yours, Bob

Hello!

Thanks, Bob, for the info. I'm not sure if I saw both of them, but the red one was there anyway. Well, I believe they're both in good hands now. May be I have to visit Gap-Tallard one day

Hi Folks,

I am delighted to report that, after much hard persuasion from Brian Morgan and Jean-Paul Dalegre, Olivier Petri eventually finished and sent my model (albeit one full year and seven months later!)

It is beautiful, and Karen is getting it framed for my Christmas present.

I suggest if buying from M. Petri in the future, don't hand over your money until you have the model in your hand.

Happy Christmas Everybody.

Yours, Bob
