New Backcountry Planes website

Backcountry Planes is a parts supplier and manufacturer in Malaga, on the south coast of Spain. Owner Gonzalo Figueroa specializes in Cub type aircraft as well as Bücker parts.

A few years ago Gonzalo acquired a lot of inventory from Bücker Prado in Ablacete and since then has expanded the services and parts he can provide.

We all know there have been problems dealing with members of the Ballester family who previously operated Bücker Prado. (Contact me for more information) Gonzalo's service is consistently reported as being very reliable and the parts of good quality, however, so those concerns do not apply here.

Their on-line catalog has just been updated and now includes 4130 steel tubing in metric sizes. Perfect for Bücker repairs!

In addition, Backcountry now have repair/construction jigs for the Jungmann fuselage and have commissioned CAD drawings of the entire aircraft. (See below)
