This beautiful CASA Jungmann belongs to Ingo Presser who has entered it in a cross-country race later this year.
Ingo said: I bought the aircraft from Hans Dittes who in the late 70`s managed to auction about 35 Bückers from the Spanish Airforce. Mine is one of them. I spend two years overhauling it and another 6 months paperwork etc. in order to put it on the German Register. The first engine (Tigre 150 hp) was installed for 28 years and has given me reliable service. I flew to the North Cape Norway north of the arctic circle, crossed the Austrian Alps 4 times and flew around Great Britain. The second engine I installed 7 years ago.
The race Ingo has entered will start on the Mediterranean island of Crete in November of this year and will end among the vineyards of Capetown in South Africa!

Alex Henshaw's "Flight of the Mew Gull" was an extraordinary flight, but he had 200 HP and a sleek, efficient monoplane. What an amazing adventure to do (almost) the same trip in an open-cockpit biplane at 150 KpH. I can't wait to hear how it goes. Good luck Ingo!
