At this time of year in the more Northerly parts of the USA we typically find ourselves shoveling snow, chipping ice off the car and going about the place with many layers of Polar-fleece and wool. This week, however, the temperature has been close to 70 F (21 C) with light winds and clear skies. The grass is growing, the birds are singing and the local animal population is getting amorous. It's all very strange.

It was good news, however, for Benoit Dierickx and his wife Babou who are on temporary assignment to Michigan and who visited us on Monday. It was perfect flying weather so Benoit was able to spend some time in the Jungmann and compare it to his LOM Jungmeister.

Benoit has also flown a Polish LOM Jungmann, so I was interested to hear his comments on my aircraft. This was only the third time I had seen (and heard) it fly.
