In June 2018 we travelled to Großenhain airfield near Dresden (in the former East Germany, now Saxony) for a Bucker meeting. The airfield is fascinating; originally a Luftwaffe airbase, then a Russian/Soviet air base during the cold war. Now it is home to light aircraft and a great flying museum (http://www.fliegendes-museum.de/). The organisers arranged an aerobatic competition, a formation flight around Dresden and a great hangar party hosted by Josef Koch, who with his wife and daughter runs the flying museum. A memorable and enjoyable weekend. — at Flugplatz Großenhain.
