Ken Larson, the Red Texas Bucker guy that used to win all the intermediate category contests in the 70's died at his home a couple of nights ago.  He's the first to go from that group (excluding Frank Price).  Ken's plane is the only one that's not flying.....he flew it to the Frontiers of Flight Museum a few years ago and it's hanging there right now.  I had the pleasure of knowing him for years and he was really glad I got the Bucker from John Nyquist.  Ken was in his 80's, former WW2 bomber guy, and even flew the Concorde for Braniff  when they did the exchange with British Airways years ago.....what a career.

Ken felt a little ''ill'' during supper the other night, decided to go sit down in the living room and died in the chair a little later.  Don't know the exact cause but it was relatively sudden and doesn't sound like he suffered one bit.  It sounds like the way to go for me anyway, no tubes, no bedpans, no expensive medical bills.
