Long time Bucker owner and antique airplane rebuilder Hank Galpin from Kalispel, Montana was seriously injured in a farm machine accident. His arm was caught in the machine and he nearly bled to death before being found. He was in intensive care but has now been released.
Hank is far more than a wheat farmer from a small Montana city. He is an Ivy League educated easterner who sought a different life and found it. Quite successfully. He rebuilt a Travel Air 6000 and has flown it around the country including a couple of high exposure antique airplane tours. His flying skills are legendary.
He is a person in the Bucker community that I personally truly admire.
The good news is that he will be able to fly again. Upon release from the hospital, Hank stated that he is through with farming. He is going to rebuild Buckers full time!
