Managed to get the vertical stabilizer and rudder put back on today, after finishing the dope re-juvenation/new leather gap seal/new butyrate paint job.

Might not look like a big job, but there is a lot of work re-doing the tail with the Swiss civilian paint scheme.  Leather gap seals are fun to work with too, especially when masking and trying to keep paint from going through the eyelets to the other side.

It turned out nice, thanks largely to the efforts of my friend Mark Taylor, and his nice heated shop.
For those of you that noticed the tail brace wires are missing, I'm waiting on the wire terminals and other hardware to come back from getting Type 1 cad plating, (silver color).

Next on the list is the installation of new Cleveland brake cylinders, (the old ones were 35 years old, and leaked after trying new O-rings twice!).  After that, I'll be putting on the overhauled original K&W prop from Guy Watson, and sending him the old K&W that is installed presently.

Still working on getting some original wheel fenders, and finding/putting original instruments back.  A work in progress, as they say.

Thanks to all my friends for their help with parts, advice, knowledge, and words of encouragement.

Take Care,

~John
