It was the Roll Out of my BU181 Bestmann D-EKYF, Swedish version, sn 25016, after 6 years restoration.
We are expecting the 1st flight at the end of september.

There follows some intresting information on the rollout of an original Bü181 at Rangsdorf Germany:
We would like to thank Ralf Gaida and all his "helpers/ Bestmann- team " for the invitation to the rollout of his completely rebuilt Bestmann at it's famous place of origin, Rangsdorf, Germany near Berlin.
Ralf and his father in law Peter ( living at Rangsdorf ) restored in more than 6 years and more than 6000 hours of work a SK Bücker 181 Bestmann D-EKYF with original Hirth HM 500 engine in outstanding quality.
Last saturday aug 15th was rollout at Rangsdorf " Seebad aeroclubhouse" of their Bestmann with invited guests of former workers of Bucker factory, Bestmann specialists and friends from all over Europe.
The Bestmann is named " Rangsdorf" and is bringing back the great Bucker- history of this famous town.
The rollout and celebration was a great platform to talk to historians, former workers, specialists and enthusiasts of Bucker airplanes.
We wish Ralf a great future and many happy flights with his wonderful Bestmann.
