The Kestenholz fly-in celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Jungmann was a great success! Thank you very much to Paul Kidell and to Rick Wenger for supplying this information, and a host of beautiful pictures, which are in a new photo gallery here: Kesterholz Album - Please take a look, they are spectacular.
I was at Kestenholz among the 35 Buckers where I was busy snapping and thought you’d enjoy a few pictures. The rough runway made for some interesting arrivals but most coped pretty well.
Cheers,
Paul Kiddell

Some thirty Bucker biplanes flew in to Kestenholz over the August 22-23 weekend for the "75th Jungmann anniversary" Fly-In, embedded in the "Oldtimerflugtage Kestenholz". All in all, close to two hundred vintage airplanes, generally built before 1960, gathered at this temporary airstrip. Attached are some Bucker-related snapshots taken during the two days.
Eight Bucker owners/pilots from North America came the long way to visit us here in Switzerland, and they are always most welcome. Joe Vasile, John Hickman, Woody Woodward, Rick Wenger and Pat Quinn are seen on the first photo. Missing on this shot are Gail and Doedo Schipper, Glenn and Quincy Cruise and Canadians Elaine and Larry Ernewein.
I am sure Joe and/or his colleagues will provide you with more information on the Kestenholz event.
With best regards,
Rick
