Howard Davenport is enjoying his new Price Jungmeister in Uganda. This beautiful aircraft had something of an eventful journey, but now that it is flying again Howard is having a blast. Imagine "Out of Africa", but with a Jungmeister instead of a DH60 Moth. Wow.

Howard says:

"I got Tim Kearton from South Africa to come up and do some repairs.  He had rebuilt 3 Jungmann's for guys down there, and his work is amazing.  He knows that airplane inside and out!!  This was his first Jungmeister to work on, but the 131 and 133 are so similar he had no problem with it.  He'd never rigged one with the semi-symetrical airfoil, but after he was finished, it flew like a dream;  hands off, first flight!!!  Rigged perfectly!!  We put in a 2.2 degree dihedral on the bottome wings with 1 degree washout which brought the top wing down to less than a degree.  None of the plans have the dihedral settings for these 2412 airfoils, so it was pretty much guess work....see what works best.  I'd have to say that the inverted stability is just fine like it is and no further rigging is necessary.  Snaps like a bat out of hell!!!! "

"It's the ONLY Jungmeister on the African Continent, so it's getting a lot of interest.  3 aviation magazines are already chomping at the bits to do an article on it, mainly because of the Frank Price influence and the "Dallas Gang's" reputation.

I'm very proud of this airplane, and after flying it, I now know what people mean when they say "Nothing flys like a Bucker."
