As you might imagine, this has been a very special and exciting day. It is appropriate, (although rather dangerous) that I take a moment to thank everyone who has made this day possible. There are many people who have influenced this project, but I would like to make special mention of a few who contributed in a particularly significant way:
A very special thank you to:
Steve
A very special thank you to:
- My wife Jeanne, for whom the sweet smell of Stitts Polyfiber has become a familiar perfume
- Woody Menear, who is responsible for infecting me with Bucker disease in the first place
- Dick Farina, who allowed me to crawl all over N21RF and make templates, plans and sketches
- Marcus & JoAnne Bates, who scrounged up some parts I was having trouble with
- Joe Krybus, who supplied advice and parts of such quality that I sometimes felt like displaying them in my house, rather than putting them in the Jungmann
- Jesus Ballester, who delivered parts and raw materials, sometimes without me even asking for them
- Ronnie Mong, of Elite Fabrication who came to the rescue when the metalwork exceeded my ability, or the size of my bending brake
- Autobody Supply of Columbus, who kindly allowed me to use their paint booth
- Bill Hill, who guided me through the engine overhaul
- Pavel Novak, who ran the engine for me on his dyno, and checked/fixed my work
- Brian Karli, who kept me motivated by allowing me the privilege of flying his Jungmann, and who always seemed to know where to go for those hard to find, or make pieces
- Larry Grondzki, who came up with those 4mm pins when I needed them most
- Albert Zeller, whose aircraft and workshop were such an inspiration in the final push to completion
- Joe Foley, who was unfailingly there with his truck whenever I needed something transporting, lifting or holding
- John LaBarre, for the loan of his Spanish cowling and for his frequent telephone calls of encouragement and friendship
- Woody Woodward, who allowed me to experience the LOM magic
- Richard Epton, also for the LOM experience, and for the parts that turned up in my mailbox unsolicited
