Everything went well. Ts & Ps just right, a very slight roll to the left, but otherwise nicely in trim, slip ball about centered. It wasn't my best landing, but I didn't break anything :)

I can't believe how slowly it can fly. Stick hard back, nose up in the air, indicating a little above 40 mph and still flying! I did not notice any vibration in the wires or windshield.

The second flight took place on Sunday morning. The weather was nice enough to fly all day, but presient Obama is in town, so the airspace is closed this afternoon.

I was able to set the trim to the place I knew was about right, and I had adjusted the aileron tab, so it felt like more of a "normal" flight than a test flight. Everything went well again. The oil temperature settled down at 155 degress F, the aileron trim was almost right, and I was able to explore some faster speeds. - It looks like it is comfortable at the typical 110 mph or so, but the prop. is a little coarse. Performance propeller make the prob a little thick and send it to you for testing. You send it back to them with the measured performance and they carve it to its final size and add the reinforced leading edge.

The ailerons are very light and smooth. The elevators feel good, but I need to lower the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer a little. I currently need some "up" trim to fly level, slightly more than I would like.

This time I had the speed better on landing and it touched down very nicely.

Now that I have two "private" flights behind me, I will probably invite some friends to a public first flight one evening this week.
