30 Years Bücker gathering Degerfeld
Thirty years ago Albstadt-Degerfeld hosted legendary Bücker gatherings. This year we will commemorate these gatherings with a first revival at the weekend of
27./28. August
More than 25 Bückers from Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Austria (the legendary Jungmeister collection of Sepp Ecker and his freinds) have already signed up for the gathering. Were expecting several Bücker enthusiast that first brought these fantastic planes from spain in the '70s. They have a lot of stories to tell…….
In the '80s Bücker enthusiasts came toghether at Albstadt-Degerfeld to present their fantastic Bücker aircraft that most of them had bought in the seventies when the Spanish army sold many Bückers and parts. A big part of these stories has been written down by Erwin König in his great book „Die Bücker-Flugzeuge“.
At Degerfeld
we have the legendary Lycoming powered Bücker D-EFMH previously owned by Reinhard
Mey, a famous German singer and songwriter. His best known song is “Über den
Wolken” (Above the Clouds).
Were inviting all Bücker enthusiasts to share their adventures/experiences/stories about their Bücker life with us. All material that Bücker pilots and owners are willing to share are most welcomed. One report about a great Bücker cruise all the way through Germany from south to North was already published on the Bücker website. We will post a report about our 2011 Bücker revival there too.
Klau-Jochen Rieger, a German journalist will attend the Degerfeld gathering. He is actually working on a new book about the Bückers following the stories of Erwin König which ended in the '80s. His goal is to continue with new material and with lots of information about the actual Bücker scene. Klaus has been in touch with several US Bücker enthusiasts over the past year and they have supplied him with a lot if information about their Bückers for his book.
Erwin König`s book is a classic, it has been offered and sold on ebay for more than 700 US$.
We would be very pleased if any of the US
Bücker enthusiast would come to our gathering. Who ever has the idea to attend
