Also from the Stephen Craig collection comes this original brochure describing the attributes of the Bu 131 Jungmann. Produced in English in 1936 the quoted weights and performance are most interesting. The empty weight is quoted as 350 kilos (771 lbs), maximum flying weight 600 Kilos (1,322 lbs) There are Jungmann that weigh that much empty today :) How times change, both for aircraft and for people!
With the 80 HP Hirth engine, the rate of climb was a leisurely 425 ft/min. Remarkable on so little power though.
